Doesn't everyone enjoy a good roll in the hay?

This is ChiChi, our guard Chihuahua. He is one of the goofiest dogs I have ever met.

Well, this is Carbon's Swingin' Sweetheart, aka Lilly. For Pat and I Lilly was the horse that started it all. Pat and her family came to Shepherdsville, KY with two Appaloosas. A few months later she had some friends come and visit and they told her that she couldn't live in Kentucky and not have a gaited horse. There happened to be a very nice farm just down the road that sold TWH and Spotted Saddle Horses. Well Pat's friends picked out a pretty little sorrel and white filly, Lilly, and her life was never the same. It so happened that Pat wanted some help with training her new herd member. The owner of the filly, Shelia, said she knew just the person. Julie and her friends were boarding their horses at Shelia's farm and Shelia told Julie of Pat's request for help. Julie took up the challenge and the rest, they say, is history.

Lilly is now 5 and the star of the farm. She is tripled registered TWH, SSHBEA, and SMHA. Julie and Lilly put on a good showing at the Kentucky Mountain International Grand Championships in Oct. They placed 3rd in the SMHA Western Championship and 4th in the very tough SMHA Trail Pleasure Championship. Not bad for a first year showing the SMHA circuit. Lilly is also High Point Champion in the Central Kentucky Gaited Horse Assoc. show series.

2006 was a super year for Lilly and Julie. Together they racked up 4 more High Point Awards from CKGHA. The KMSHA/SMHA International Grand Championships brought fruition to 4 hard years of training. Placing 3rd in the SMHA Trail Pleasure Championship was great, Winning the 4 and over Trail Obstacle Course was exhilarating. However the icing on the cake was Winning the first ever SMHA Versatility Award. The trophy and ribbon are still on display in the living room.
